There are so many commercial toothpastes and mouthwash that assumed to be preventing us from bacteria causing gum infection are potential factors that invites bacteria build up. Some active ingredients may contain chemicals that can additionally damage the tooth and the gum’s. As a response to such active ingredients, swollen gum’s and bleeding gum’s are the result to its reaction. One of these is alcohol that is frequently included in dental care products, and it dries out the mouth limiting saliva production. However saliva is the natural defense of the mouth against bacteria. Using commercial oral care products paves way to gum irritation as well as gum disease.
