A few years back, kids only had access to cable television like Charter cable TV as a form of entertainment. I can still remember when my mom always checks the programs that was watching. Now, internet games are very popular among kids and adults. Some parents see internet games as a distraction for their child’s studies, but actually it can be a learning tool as well. There are some middle schools that uses treasure hunting games like Mystery Quest and Mystery Files for their school activities, they also have broadband access at school so kids can talk via video conference to other competitors. This is a way of developing their student’s creativity and interaction with others. They answer geographical questions and learn new words as they play the game. It makes learning fun and because it’s a game where kids can compete with others, they won’t stop on questions that they come across; they will look for answers to the question thus learning more about a country and its history at the same time without the boredom of traditional classroom teaching.
