PPC vs SEO

Generally speaking, search marketing methods fall in one of two key categories: ‘natural’ search engine optimization (also called SEO), or paid search inclusion (also called pay-per-click, PPC, or pay-for-performance). These are two very different methods, and while a larger campaign is likely to combine both, they’re not both right for everyone and it is important to understand the difference.

More About Hard Drive Recovery

Over the period of a couple of decades, computers have become almost a necessity of the day. But regardless of its need in our day-to-day life, very few computer users know much about the concept of hard drive recovery. They often have the opinion that its is completely safe to store their data on the hard drive and remain oblivious to the simple fact that their hard drive is a device that is subject to failure and the data stored on this drive can be lost forever. It’s always a good idea to read data recovery software reviews before you buy a program.

Strangely, the biggest peril to the data stored on the hard drive comes from the people who use that computer. Further, these computer users ignore hard drive recovery and go buy a brand new hard drive. Worse, some so called technical experts opt for wrong recovery techniques to repair the customer’s drives without even knowing what exactly they are trying to do! No wonder, the data disappears forever.

There are a few basic rules of performing hard drive recovery which are necessary to be able to do hard drive recovery flawlessly. First and foremost, one should refrain from writing or copying anything onto the affected hard drive. This applies to any hard drive failure scenario. If you accidentally happen to delete any of the partitions, never intensify the problem by trying to create another one - it should be simply left blank. When you delete something from the recycle bin which you later realize to be a valuable data, you should again not save anything new on the hard drive. This is because your important document is not really deleted from the system - it is still present somewhere on the drive but is merely labeled to be deleted. However, when you attempt to write something new on the drive, the system recognizes the deleted file space as empty space and may over write on it which may render your chances of data recovery to be very slim or almost impossible.

Even in case of partitions, the basic rule still remains the same. Everything may seem to have disappeared when you delete a partition. However, as it is with the deleted files, here too the files are not actually lost. It is just that you are not able to view or retrieve them for the time being. So the rules for hard drive recovery are quiet simple. If you wish to bring back your lost data from the failed hard drive, the best thing you can do is not attempt to write any new data on the drive.

Keep E-Shoppers Happy By Having Credit Card Processing

As shoppers we never really think about it, but in the role of consumer it is okay to expect to find what we want, when we want it, the way we want it. Most of the time we go shopping for something specific to our needs and we rarely accept a substitute. And those store owners that understand this are the ones that last because they meet our expectations. In the online retailing world there is one thing that business owners can offer regardless of what they sell, and that is credit card processing in the checkout lane. We love shopping online using our credit cards, and we tend not to want to deal with any ‘net retailer that doesn’t meet our expectation.

Dedicated Web Hosting Servers

Dedicated servers are basically computers that have a single function: to host and run the websites you place on them. Unlike shared web hosting where you have to share your disk space, CPU, RAM and other resources with other customers, a dedicated server allows you to host 1 or more of your sites on the machine by yourself. The entire box is basically yours to configure as you see fit.

Dedicated servers are usually either managed or unmanaged. If you go with an unmanaged dedicated server, you usually get to pay a cheaper price, but you have to basically administer the machine by yourself. If there are security fixes for the web server or the operating system on the computer, you will need to apply them yourself. In fact, you will probably need to stay on top of such developments by subscribing to the necessary mailing lists and whatnot for security fixes to the software on your server. You are normally given the root (adminstrator) password to an unmanaged dedicated server. If you require the web host to do anything to your server, you typically have to pay extra for the support service.

Managed dedicated servers are servers where the web host attends to all the necessary updates to your software and maintains the hardware on your behalf. The charges for managed servers are usually higher since you are also paying for the services they provide. Very often, managed servers do not come with root access.

Web Hosting Services

Web hosting services are companies that provide businesses and individuals the opportunity to have their own websites on the Internet. The Web hosting service has a large server or multiple servers that allow them space on the web, and they rent this space to clients who use it to park their domain names on the World Wide Web so that Internet surfers can access them.

Anyone can use a web hosting service if he or she can pay the monthly fee and have a domain name. The domain name provides the URL that people will type into their Internet web browser to be directed to your site. You will have to pay to register your domain name, although some web hosting services may offer free domain name registration as part of a promotion to give you incentive to use their service. If you cannot afford the monthly fee, there are free web hosting services. However, there tend to be serious limitations on how you can operate your website with a free service, and many people find it necessary to upgrade to a paid service if they continue their website for an extended length of time. Another option may be shared web hosting, where a number of people agree to operate their websites off the same server and costs are shared.
