eye catching drum:doumbek

One day when me and my mother were visiting a market looking for a gift for my younger brother who is a musician and can play a number of instruments. Our eye caught a very interesting looking instrument in the music shop, when we went inside to have a closer look then we were told by the shopkeeper the instrument is known as doumbek. He told us that it is a drum which belongs to the Middle East civilization. Right at that moment we decide to buy it and gave it as a gift to my younger brother. He was very pleased to see the drum and played it for us. We were mesmerized on hearing the drum. It was awesome and a wonderful gift.

Fenton carnival glass is an iridescent glass pattern that

Fenton carnival glass is an iridescent glass pattern that was very popular in the early 1900s, with niche interest continuing today. Other companies have made similar clear glass dinnerware over time, but the Fenton carnival glass was usually the most popular. Northwood glass was a major competitor in the iridescent glass industry, introducing their items in 1908.

Soon after it was introduced in a trade magazine in October 1907, the Fenton carnival glass began to be produced commercially. Of the over 2,000 different patterns which have been created, about 1,000 became well known, including the kitten and rabbit patterns which were so popular among children. The remaining 1,000 patterns were not produced in such quantity and are considered rare.

The iridescent glass appeared to have a metallic luster and sheen, making it uinque and visually appealing. Many different pieces were produced including bowls, mugs, vases, plates and even entire table settings. A variety of colors were used, but the best sellers were marigold, cobalt, and amethyst.

Fenton carnival glass is made by pressing liquid glass into a hot metal mold. It takes the shape of the mold as it cools, and while it’s still hot, the glass is sprayed with a unique mixture containing metallic salts in liquid. This causes the iridescent sheen. To prevent cracking, it was cooled very slowly, taking a full 24 hours for the glass to reach room temperature.

Originally, dime stores across America sold the pieces. After sometime the sales decreased and popularity waned and it was sold in bulk to carnivals. These were given as prizes on the midway. The name “carnival” glass was given because of this. The rainbow colors was apt for a carnival setting.

Clear glass dinnerware is a popular collector’s item all over the nation. Fenton carnival glass is no exception, and because of this, it can often be found at garage and yard sales, flea markets, antique stores, and auctions. Fenton glass also has a following in the live auction market. Details for local auctions can be found online.

Remember that the glassware is fragile, and must be treated carefully. Even slight bumps can cause damage to the unique shine. It can also fade in sunlight, so it should be stored appropriately. It should never go in the dishwasher, and should be washed carefully with a soft cloth and dish soap by hand.

The most popular of the iridescent glass patterns is fenton carnival glass that reached the height of popularity in the 1900’s. Other types of clear glass dinnerware remain a collectible niche to this day. Collectors also remain interested in the product of a competitor, Northwood Glass. The pieces were originally sold in dime stores across America, but after sales decreased and popularity waned, it was sold in bulk to carnivals. enough to make you hope that one of these

enough to make you hope that one of these days Washington will forgo such conventional genre trappings and unleash his own Do the Right Thing. Nate Parker may end up the next Denzel Washington. He has the charm and emotional punch. Put him in more things. Great Debaters dvd A movie about ideas thats a bit too timid to actually be about them. Working hard on both sides of the camera, Washington has grafted his intensity onto this production, giving it a kind of backbone it would not otherwise have. Its terrifically acted, pretty much a given with this cast. This fact-based drama is well-intentioned but gets a little bogged down in the details.

Sprawling yet cramped There Will Be Blood dvd may

Sprawling yet cramped, There Will Be Blood dvd may not be the best movie of the year, but its certainly the strangest. It evokes passing comparisons to everything from Giant to Citizen Kane but its impossible to pigeonhole. Like Day-Lewis penetrating glare, the music sticks with you days and weeks after youve watched the movie. Together Day-Lewis and Dano produce the years most mercurial moments. A self-styled maverick of major ambition and, until now, minor films, director P.T. Anderson has achieved a bombastic breakthrough with There Will Be Blood. Little more than a cartoon Rambo blu-ray caters only

Little more than a cartoon, Rambo blu-ray caters only for those still smitten by the rat-a-tat of continuous gunfire. Stallone who looks fit but mostly keeps his shirt on has no intention of bogging the action down, but its still a notably cheerless exercise, without knowing winks or stabs pardon the expression at humor. Stallone, smarter than he looks and possessing fierce determination, pours as much heart into this one-man-army saga as he does movie blood. Its a middling movie both in terms of the franchise and in terms of action movies in general. A literal goulash of gore, and I was quite taken with the fearlessness of it all. The overall responsibility of the film is open for debate, but nobody can say that Stallone didnt reach for the bloodied brass ring with this splendidly bonkers concoction. Stiffly written, woodenly acted, and indifferently directed.

Full of great characters and well crafted and fascinating

Full of great characters and well crafted and fascinating relationships, it may be the best film of the year. It takes Juno blu-ray about 15 minutes to calm down and get its joke reflex in check. And by the end youve fallen in love with the thing. filled with laugh-out-loud gags, witty dialogue and geniune emotion. One of the wittiest, smartest, and funniest films to come along this year. A very cute movie with a great soundtrack. Though, imho, not the award winner for which its been receiving so much buzz. Michael Cera Bleaker nails every scene hes in. ‘

Express Yourself through Original Oil Paintings

An original work of art reflects and often enhances the personality of the individual who owns it. Somehow, it carries and shows every viewer the unique signature of its owner.

Original oil paintings are not only visually appealing. They also communicate the personality and sometimes the genius of the artist who created it. As the artist play with its palette and paints, his abilities, creativity, inspiration, and mind are transformed into a masterpiece. This masterpiece, in return, beautifies and personalizes his ideas, beliefs, feelings, and life.

The significant effects of original artworks are not only limited to the owner and to the artist. Art, in the form of original oil paintings, allows people to convey or demonstrate deeply held feelings, beliefs, and sentiments in socially acceptable ways.

Writer-director David E

Writer-director David E. Talbert has a fine castbut he lets them down with a wretched, amateurish script A cringe-inducing, cinematic tribute to the Golden Age of Minstrelsy! First Sunday dvd Ice Cubes franchising of the weekdays continues with First Sunday. Ice Cube has been taking a lot of heat in recent years for abandoning his tough guy image in exchange for Hollywood stardom, and First Sunday appears to be a compromise. For a movie thats filled with so many talented comedians, its shocking that First Sunday is only sporadically funny. Cubes maudlin, overly precious relationship with his son hits a few sour notes, but Morgans rubbery, half-crazy Leejohn always drags the film back into its manic, cartoony groove.

One Way To Celebrate Your Special Day with Couple Rings

A couple of friends of mine weren’t quite sure if they wanted traditional rings for their marriage ceremony. They wanted a different way to show people how much they loved each other. While most wedding sets were lovely and definitely matched, it wasn’t quite what they wanted. I suggested to them that perhaps they could get couple rings. That way they could have them engraved with something special to only them. They loved the idea. They immediately set out to find the perfect rings. Then they had them engraved with the nicknames they had given each other. They felt it was the perfect way to celebrate their love for one another. They are still married and still adore the rings.

Whether horror fans are ready for high-notes or musical

Whether horror fans are ready for high-notes or musical buffs will appreciate Dario Argento levels of gore is an open question, but this is a rich, demented experience. This Sweeney Todd DVD is all subtext and no substance. It starts off large and swaggering but doesnt know where to turn next: Burton seems fixated on serving up an event, to the extent that he neglects to dig into the story. Did I mention lately how very much I love Tim Burtons brain? Few could have taken, would have dared to take, a musical stage play of this depth and managed to make it into such a beautiful film. Burton and his gang have though. Read On-> A thoughtful, sincere and moving film, buttressed by a fine, central performance by an actor at the top of his form. Unparalleled visual splendor, a bloody red-velvet fever dream of a musical for people who think they HATE musicals. Buy Walk Hard DVD is one of those fish-in-a-barrel comedies that mine a rich comedic vein but manage to come up with few genuine gems. After Superbad and Knocked Up, Judd Apatow has now pulled off the movie equivalent of the Triple Crown. John C. Reilly does Dewey Cox as a hilarious stoner, beer gut middle-aged teen, with a touch of Imus. Move over, Britney Spears. At least it’s not as bad as it could have been. a perfect storm of incompetent idiocy that might kill off mockumentaries altogether. An SNL sketch may have been a better vehicle for such a spoof. On the big screen, it ends up having a film life of its own becoming a music bio pic in order to sustain.

The running and climbing the tidal waves of debris

The running and climbing, the tidal waves of debris rushing down the avenues, the screams and carnage grow tiresome. But it does give a jolt to the genre. The camera tumbles, the smoke billows, gigantic footsteps thunk, women shriek and the car alarms blare in Cloverfield DVD. And we are there. Maybe we now live in a world where we record the moment first and feel it later. If that’s the case, Cloverfield leaves us waiting to feel. A sharp and vivid film, filled with moments of tremendous ingenuity and characterized by a persistent avoidance of the expected tropes.
